"The Mountain Groovs", Concert / Percussion Show, Tyrolean premiere
The ax is swinging. The scythe rushes there. There the milk hisses. Life in the mountains is pure rhythm. With "Der Berg groovt", Toni Bartl's alpine drums bring alpine touch into their fast-paced stage percussion show. They use local tools and the rhythm of alpine traditions to "rock" the stage.
The "Bergbauernbua" and world champion at the Styrian harmonica Toni Bartl impressively proved this with his now world-famous piece "Blechlawine". The sound of empty tool boxes brought them to Oman.
In »Der Berg groovt«, everyday utensils of Bergalltag are so imaginatively and wittyly modified into musical instruments that they make an incredible sound. This melts into a whimsical Gesamtkunstwerk in the scenes and cabaret inserts inscribed with sophisticated lighting effects. Anyone who believes that you can not make music on milking stools and milk jugs will be amazed this evening.
