On a high plateau in the Thiersee Valley, in the middle of the Brandenberg Alps and surrounded by expansive meadows, is Thiersee. An idyllic natural lake in front of the backdrop of the Tyrolean Mountains. Most notably the popular viewpoint and climbing mountain Pendling, to the south, is a distinctive focal point that stands out from the rolling hills. Little beech trees and expansive sunbathing lawns, especially the Thiersee lido on the northern shore, make this bathing lake a paradise for water sport enthusiasts. The lake is rich in fish, and fed by spring water.
