Kneipp in the holiday region of Kufstein – increasing energy through natural methods
Water-treading, which is also called Kneipping, is a hydrotherapy treatment method which was based on the method used by Sebastian Kneipp. Kneipping is good for your health and good for your spirit. Get into the fresh water!
The water should come up to mid-calf height at least, and you then simply walk around in the water. One leg should always be completely taken out of the water and your toes flexed downwards (the so-called ‘stork walk’). After around 30-60 seconds (depending on your stamina) you sense a strong sensation of coldness in your feet and lower legs. You should then get out of the cold water briefly, to warm up your feet again. This process is repeated several times. After water-treading, just wipe off the water or let it dry off (do not towel dry). Then walk for around 10 minutes to warm up again. You’ll soon sense a beneficial warming feeling.

Walking bare-foot in the holiday region of Kufstein – sensing and enjoying the natural surroundings
Shoes and socks off and let the grass tickle your feet, feel the jagged pebbles with your feet and sense how the white sand runs between your toes. The soles of your feet are just as sensitive as the palms of your hand. Wedged between leather and cotton your foot learns how nice it is to feel the natural surroundings, on which you walk. Walking barefoot is the oldest and actually the simplest way of strengthening the immune system and is a pleasure for young and old alike. Many lifestyle reformers- the most popular being Sebastian Kneipp – have recommended barefoot walking as an important element in health care. Kneipp was the basis for this with a circulation-promoting hardening effect. The circulation is thereby promoted and more body heat is released. You’ll remember the barefoot path experience for a long time to come. You’ll be inspired!

On the sand, warming your feet on the soft bark mulch, the blades of grass on the meadows tickling the soles of your feet, wooden stakes and pebbles promote a sense of balance, and this barefoot voyage of touch ends on the rounded stones in the stream.

Wellness is generally used to mean a healthy balance of the mind, body and spirit that results in an overall feeling of well-being. It has been used in the context of alternative medicine since Halbert L. Dunn, M.D., began using the phrase high level wellness in the 1950s.
