LANGKAMPFEN - enjoy idyllic holidays

Langkampfen, with its districts Oberlangkampfen, Niederbreitenbach, Unterlangkampfen and Morsbach is situated 7 km westwards from Kufstein, at the foot of the Pendling mountain. The village with a direct view onto the mountain range of the „Kaiser“ spreads original charm because of its flower-decorated houses, the luscious green fields and the golden glowing mountain peaks.

Hardly a week end passes by without holding a celebration - whether in honour of a public holiday or because of an old tradition. Every week tones of brass instruments sound through the village, when in one of the beer gardens open-air concerts of the local marching band are held, at which one can sit homely together chatting.

Worth a visit in any case

Worth a visit is in any case the gliding airfield next to the main road Langkampfen - Kufstein. Watch the smooth gliding of the gliders or - if you do not suffer from acrophobia - simply go for a panorama sightseeing flight over the mountain range of the „Kaiser“! If you rather stay down to earth, make yourself comfortable on the terrace of the restaurant Tiroler Fliegerstube.

Interesting prehistorical items of Langkampfen

Through the community area of Langkampfen went at that time the Roman road. In the course of excavations diverse prehistorical items were found. Those are being displayed in the museum Thurnerhof. Visitation after arrangement by telephone.
