Go on a light bycicle tour along the river Inn and enjoy the beauty of the river landscape along many kilometres. The well signposted cycling trails of Ebbs and the other villages of the holiday region Kufstein have a total length of more than 200 km. You also have access to the famous cycling trail to Passau. The cycling trail along the river Inn is signposted continously and consists of mainly asphalted bycicle routes and only a few ascents. Whoever wants to explore Ebbs by bycicle has chosen the ideal means of transportation.
Due to the agricultural diversity as well as the Kaiser mountains - from Erl via Kufstein to Bad Häring – Ebbs the ideal destination for runners and fans of nordic walking. Nordic walking between the Inn valley and the alpine landscape offers a variety of different levels of difficulty. In Ebbs you can find five signposted running and walking routes with a total length of 36 km (Fohlenhof-, Dorf-, Plafing-, Oberndorf and Schanzer route).
With over 100 mares, stallions and foales this Haflinger stud is said to be, also because of its 25 world champions, the most important in the world. The Fohlenhof Ebbs offers besides visitations, riding and driving lessons with registered riding and driving teachers also fun for children and childcare. Besides the Haflinger and carriage museum one has daily the possibility to view the studs with its foals as well as the stallions. Viewings daily from 9 am to 5 pm, guidings are possible at anytime time with advanced notification.
The 20.000 m² large enclosure in Ebbs acommodates about 400 animals out of 100 species. The park is also a true paradise of flowers and birds and for ornithologists and bird lovers an insider tip. The rare species zoo is said to be one of the most beautiful and private sites of this kind in Austria. At the new farm for small animals children can get a very close experience of the animals and touch them, at the same time a new open-air enclosure for barbary macaques can be crossed by the visitors.
The nature reserve Kaisertal is renowned far across Tyrolean borders - nature lovers will be impressed by this jewel for hikers between the mountain ranges „Wilder Kaiser“ and „Zahmer Kaiser". The probably most known and most photographed chapel is the "Antoniuskapelle", situated romantically in the middle of the Kaisertal. The historically oldest farm house in the „Kaiser mountains“ probably may be the „Hinterkaiserhof“, located only a few minutes from the Antoniuskapelle. The Antoniuskapelle and the Hinterkaiserhof can be reached without big troubles from the „Kaiseraufstieg“ in Ebbs-Eichelwang in about 80 walking minutes.
A nostalgic and romantic borderline experience with the Inn ferry - one should by no means miss out on. „Fährmann hol über“ was the saying for farmers and workers from 1770 until 1973 between Kiefersfelden and Ebbs. The Inn ferry builds the bridge between Bavaria and Tyrol. Since 1998 this historic means of transport has come again into existence: a ferry made of larch wood with a lengh of 11 m and a width of 2,8 m accommodates twelve passengers and their bicycles.
The making of Schnaps is a thousands of years old tradition, which has also being maintained in Tyrol for centuries. This tradition and the products are being introduced to you in an 250 year old, lovingly restored farmhouse. (presentation and „welcome Schnapserl“). There is also the possibility for a carriage-ride with following visit to the distillery.
In summer the miscellaneous offer for active families and kids is very big. Besides the large water slide (66 m) and the 3-lane broad-slide (17 m), the generously built swimming and adventure pool and a children`s pool there are different attractions like a „Wasserpilz“, elephant-slide, knight tower, …etc. One should not dare to forget the generously laid out lawn for sunbathing with an adventure-playground (corsair).
A special figurehead are the two beachvolleyball grounds. Whether as spectator or as an active player - streethockey, inlineskating, skateboarding and nearly all ball games are hip at the funpark. But who thinks more of bowling will find 4 bowling alleys in professional format (open all-the-year) and of course the cosy restaurant with sun terrace enjoying the view over the whole facility.
A paradise are the sauna facilities in the „Hallo Du“, here you find besides an original Finnish Kelosauna also a sauna parlour and a camomile soft-sauna. In addition there are also four steambaths and three meditation rooms available. A heated outside pool with massage bench and whirlpool contributes to total relaxation.
An experience for the whole family - dive into a sea of flowers and most different garden landscapes. At the Sunday market which is regularly taking place, you can discover all kinds of decoration ideas. For children there is a game park as well as a children´s train at disposal. Enjoy a ride with the slow train Ebbs. The excursion train operates from May until October each Tuesday and Thursday between Ebbs and Kufstein. Wolfgang Kronbichler takes you along scenic routes and has also much to tell about the country and its people. Along the route several stops are being made, you will see, that there is a lot to explore. Besides the advertised routes, you can also book the train for extra tours.
Soothing one´s soul during a horse carriage-ride through the enchanting scenery of Ebbs. Registration either at the Salitererhof or at the Kalkschmiedhof in Ebbs.
The Parish church Ebbs is one of the most beautiful baroque churches of Tyrol. Construction period from 1748 until 1756 by the Bavarian master builder Abraham Millauer - ceiling fresco by the Tyrolian J. Adam Mölk - high altar by Josef Martin Lengauer - the organ was built in the year 1976 by Johann Pirchner from Steinach am Brenner (in a refurbished baroque case, 23 registers, 2 manuals and pedal, mechanical game and registry). The small church is situated on a distinctive spot above Ebbs, it was built from the remains of the former castle of Ebbs and has been existing in this form since 1490 - very precious inventory, especially the high altar. Viewings are possible at any time - walking time from Ebbs approx. 30 min
